Chip Disposal | Chip Silo Systems
The new ARP silo and materials handling technologyAfter our concept has been put into effect, the truck comes far less frequently to collect the chips and many employees who were previously only engaged with disposal can now be deployed more effectively in the company.
The silo system
A vacuum system conveys the chips to our silo chambers which are of a new kind. Each of the silo chambers has a maximum capacity of 10 cu m. They are nine metres high, four metres deep and approximately one and a half metres wide. The silo modules are primed, painted, proof against surface water and comply with the Accident Prevention Regulations and regulations of the Water Resources Law.
The chambers are automatically emptied into a truck or railway car standing underneath via large flaps. You can thus completely dispense with the complicated container pick up and unloading. As a result of the design of the silos and the dry quality of the chips, cost-intensive oil separators or roofing over are also no longer necessary.
Processing makes chips more valuable
The core component of our system is a processing plant. It can be fed manually, e.g. by the machine operator using a chip truck, or automatically by means of chip transport systems. The subsequent processing takes place automatically. The chips are broken up in the installation and dried by centrifuging. The waste is then pourable and has a residual moisture of less than 5%. Recovered cooling lubricants can be returned to the production process.
Logistics totally under control
The chambers are automatically emptied into the truck standing underneath. We also take care of the clearance. A sensor installedin the silos sends a signal by radio telephone to the logistics centre of Recon, our partner company, that the chambers are full. Recon coordinates the entire logistics. As a result of the longer intervals and the large quantities, the transportation is distinguished by an exceptionally favourable price. Changing over to this innovative type of the disposal is worthwhile even with an average volum of chips.
The processed chips fetch a far higher selling price, the simplified logistics and the reduced deployment of personnel result in considerable savings. When contractually regulated, the additional proceeds and savings often cover a very large proportion of the investment costs.
Talk to us, it's worthwhile.
